I live in the town 10 minutes south and i guess he used to play at school dances when my dad was in school...talk about a school dance i wouldnt have been pissed off to be at haha, but i guess he wasn't the legend yet at that time. I actually have a picture somewhere of the Dio Way sign with a rainbow over it...it was amazing, as he used to sing for RAINBOW! =). anyway, yeah cortland gets alot of crappy people here because of the college, but i've never been to any city where there were just a bunch of great people...went to school in utica, talk about an armpit-city HAHA. and yeah mostly people just drink here for fun. also, if cortland doesn't have something, ithaca, syracuse, or bingamton will and those are all well within driving distance. If you're in cortland, stop by the Hollywood diner. Dave Feinstein (Dio's cousin according to wiki), played in Elf with Dio, owns the place and I've met him a couple times. Supposedly whenever Dio's in town, he stops by so I try to stop by once in a while to see if by some chance I'll get lucky....also the food is pretty good for an inexpensive place, so that helps. I guess that's all I have to say for now, but I just happened accross this site and saw some fellow-fans and wanted to shed a little light on a topic I knew a bit about. Keep on rockin the horns people, but PLEASE, only when applicable. Hate to say it, but Cortland really is the pits. What do people do there to keep entertained, except for drink??"
